About Bifrost
Bifrost is the main design system for services built at Intility. It grows through feedback and contributions from the people using it. So if something is missing, broken, or could be better, we want to hear from you!
Getting started in Figma
Figma is where you view and use Bifrost components when designing. Colors, typography, logos, and illustrations are all available there. You can find all current Bifrost libraries in our Figma Bifrost project .
If you need a Figma license or want an intro workshop, reach out to the UX team in Portal & User Experience at ux@intility.no.
Feature requests
If something is missing from Bifrost, request it in our GitHub repository. Be as specific as possible — include examples, states, use cases, and a Figma link if you have one.
Before requesting a new component, check that it fits the basics:
A good component candidate...
- Works across multiple projects, not just one
- Is generic enough to reuse, but focused enough to have a clear purpose
- Makes things easier for both designers and developers
Bug reports
Check the list of active issues first. If your bug isn't there, create a minimal reproduction using the CodeSandbox Bifrost template and file a new bug report.
Code contributions
Want to contribute code directly? The main developers are Eric Morton, Linda Tran, and Herman Jensen. Find us on MS Teams or in the #design Slack channel.
See also Readme.md and Contributing.md in the repository for how to get set up.
